For a fourth year running, Young’s Home Hardware and Building Centre in Mount Forest will be sponsoring the Hometown Hockey Hospital Fundraiser to benefit the Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation.

For each goal scored by Mount Forest’s local Junior C hockey team, the Mount Forest Patriots, Young’s Home Hardware and Building Centre will donate $50 to the Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation. This fundraiser runs from the first game of the season, right through regular season and including any playoff games.

Last year, this culminated in a $10,050 donation to the Foundation, with thanks to the 201 goals scored by the Mount Forest Patriots. With this donation, Young’s Home Hardware and Building Centre was able to fund the Centrifuge, an important piece of laboratory equipment, for Louise Marshall Hospital.

The Mount Forest Patriots kicked of their season on the road with a 5-3 win over Wingham on September 12, 2025. Follow along on the Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation’s social media pages for regular updates on the Hometown Hockey Hospital Fundraiser.

Well, it's a wrap! The delicious cookies have all been eaten, the icing bags have been packed away, the Tim Hortons Holiday Smile Cookie campaign has come to a close for another year - and the results are in! This year, an incredible $9,778 was raised by Tim Hortons in Mount Forest in support of both the Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation and Tim Hortons Foundation Camps. On behalf of all of us here at the LMH Foundation, we would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who purchased a holiday smile cookie, to our volunteer cookie-decorators, and to the Mount Forest Tim Hortons - both for choosing us as their charity partner for this campaign, and for all of their hard work over the week to keep those cookies coming!! Thank you for spreading kindness in your community!
